During the 2005-06 school year, a terrible tsunami occured. Carroll students responded with Philantrhropic Phridays when students could wear hats to school and/or go to lunch early for a $1.00 donation. Teachers who organized this fundraiser decided to continue it after tsunami funds were collected in order to help other necessary causes, such as the Carroll County Food Pantry in Flora and the Carroll Memorial Scholarship Fund.
